A spring wedding at Pencoed House
Trawling through endless wedding venues is a blessing and a curse. You may be able to 'ooh' and 'aah' at the chandeliers, landscaped gardens or stained-glass windows but everyone is definitely spoiled for choice nowadays, which can be overwhelming.
South Wales is an area that doesn't have a shortage of seaside views, rolling, verdant hills and historically beautiful buildings, which can make it even harder. That's why when Rhi and Johnny found the place that summed up them as a couple, a place which will resonate with them forever, we hopped along for the ride (and thankfully, they asked. Wedding crashers we are not). We are one of the best photo booths in Cardiff so it was only fair our cameras got to document their night (along with 100 or so mobile phones).
Pencoed House is definitely easy on the eyes so it's no surprise it attracts many brides' attention. For one, there's 37 acres of woodlands, creeks and impossibly scenic views. It's also fit for royalty (literally) as it was once home to descendants of a king of Wales. And then there's the stately interior, with vaulted ceilings, stone walls and crackling fireplaces to warm your toes. A (fully licensed) woodland bar, a catered, three-course wedding breakfast and even a DJ sweeten the deal.
The 24 March 2018 was a day for the books for Rhi and Johnny, and it ended up that way for us too. The family were ecstatic, the friends teary and everyone had a ball, including us. That's what you get when you have all your favourite people under the same roof and then add Champagne, dancing and food (and Ultrabooth!).
We'll never get over how grateful we are every time you invite us to your special day, and we'll go the extra mile for you to prove it.
